Current projects - Nottingham City Primary Parliament

  • To explore a wide range of global and local issues that matter to them and to their future
  • To feed into discussions on issues that affect their schools, local community and the city as a whole
  • To enable the voice of their peers and community to be heard
  • To participate in discussions and collaborative work with other schools, cultural and educational organisations, researchers and specialists

 

Collaboration - Ability to work with a variety of people from different organisations, different gender, age, race, abilities, beliefs

Sports leaders

  • To lead activities at break and lunch times, alongside sports coaches and staff
  • To help promote a healthy, active lifestyle
  • To work closely with their peers and support them at sport events, both in and out of school
  • To lead festivals and activities hosted at Harvey Hadden for children from Rosslyn and other local schools

Aspirational – Committed to all aspects of the role promoting a healthy and active lifestyle

Collaboration – Work alongside the sports coaches to lead activities at break and lunch times

Shakespeare ambassadors

  • To promote Shakespeare in the school community
  • To collect feedback from parents and pupils
  • To work alongside local writers as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 37 plays project
  • To attend training sessions with The Royal Shakespeare Company
  • To lead on a writing project in school
  • To take part in the Royal Shakespeare Company Showcase at The Theatre Royal

Aspirational – Activating and leading creative arts projects in the school community– and making a difference

Collaborative - Work with a variety of people from different organisations including RSC, local writers and the school community

  • Ensure the rest of the school are kept up-to-date on the progress of their Eco-Schools Work
  • Help raise awareness and involvement in environmental issues linked to reduce, reuse and recycle
