Wear it Pink!
Wear it Pink Day – Friday 20th October
Dear Parents/Carers and Children,
Breast Cancer Now’s charity event “Wear it pink” takes place on Friday 20th October. We are inviting all students to come to school in non-uniform in order to wear something pink to support this charity. The children may come to school in an all pink outfit, something small such as socks or anything in between. Please do not buy special clothing for the occasion and if children have absolutely nothing pink then something close, such as red, will do. We will raise money through a cake sale at break time and any cake donations will be gratefully received. If you would like to make any additional donations these will also be collected on the day however there is no pressure to do so.
“Wear it pink” is a great opportunity to do something fun, while at the same time generate positive outcomes for breast cancer sufferers for the future. It is also a way of letting people with cancer know that they are not on their own, and that there is a large support community on hand to help. We know that our school community will want to be part of this, especially if it means wearing something pink for the day!
Thank you
Mr S. Mason
