This week I wanted to celebrate the fantastic attendance of the majority of children at our school. I am pleased to say that we currently have 389 children across the whole school who have been at school every day so far this term. It is really pleasing to see that so many children have achieved 100% attendance and hopefully this will continue. For those children who haven’t achieved 100% so far it would be great to see if they could aim to be here every day for the rest of the term and ensure that no further learning is lost.
Attendance is a high priority at Rosslyn Park Primary and Nursery School as we have identified poor attendance as one of the main barriers to the children achieving well. I have attached the updated Attendance Policy so you can see the steps that we are taking in supporting good attendance. Additionally, I have also attached the updated Behaviour Policy. Attendance and Behaviour are often linked and we are very proud of the behaviour of children in our school. With this in mind we wanted to highlight our school Behaviour Policy to you so that you can see clearly how we promote and support the behaviour of pupils.
Both the Attendance Policy and Behaviour Policy will continue to be available on our school website www.rosslyn.nottingham.sch.uk should you wish to look at them at your convenience.
